Everyone has their opinion, this is mine. I look at the album Series or Collection as a life time investment. It is the place where you will display and store your most precious life time portraits. In a discussion with a Wedding photographer friend of mine, we spoke about the Art Leather Album. In his studio he displayed numbers of albums from many companies. "People just want to see that they can order the latest product, it doesn't mean that is what they order", he said. "I totally agree."

You see we are often attracted to the newest craze, but when you add time, that can be a not such a good thing. There are some absolutely beautiful albums out right now. One of my favorite to look at are the flush mounts. Others have the edges that are the page smoothly rounded and flat. Some have images printed on the covers on a metal covering and so much more. Just about any size you can think of it is out there, however... lets add time.

I prefer to educate on my, "Little Black Dress", theory. This is where I find the Art Leather Futura Bound takes the cake! One it is an Art Leather Product with a life time warranty with craftsmanship. Two they have been around the longest. It is a solid company that has been in the industry a long time, so if I had to order product years down the road or needed customer service, am I going to be able to find them? Three, this is more toward the Futura Bound, because Art Leather does have many options, but I think it is important not to purchase the flush mount album. They look so cool, but honey, those pages touch each other. Your portraits need to have a little protection. The Futura Bound offers enough spacing that the images are not going to be rubbing each other with a thin layer of dust between them. This means your emultion is protected. Also the pages have a metal tip in both corners an a protective edging. As many times and shows I have done, I know exactly what an album goes through. These are important factors for the life of your portraits and albums. I don't call it the little black dress for no reason. Because as time goes on and you are adding to your series, leather colors may change. Classic elegant black... need I say more?

I like to leave little inspirations around my house on little pieces of paper or something a would draw. However, I don't like clutter, so they don't stick around very long. I have not been one to have lots of trinkets either, although I love to read them. When I found out about the possibilities of how I could achieve what I wanted at a level of elegance that would work in selected areas of my home, I was very excited. So this is what I did... The thought I like to remind myself of daily is, "Words are seeds" When you walk in my back door at my home there is a triangle wall space above the entry to the kitchen. I laid out a design online and picked my own font, font color and size. There were so many cool ones already designed (you can see it online, order the catalog or come by and peak at mine) but you know me, gotta make my own statement. After I received it I had it up in minutes. My husband thought I had hand painted it and was quite impressed. Because I loved this opportunity so much I wanted to share it with you. -Always, Brenda
